Two letters doing the work of two words
The MF monogram is cut like a shield, squared shoulders and a point at the bottom, with a single star over three red bars riding above it. It's Mainstream Freedom compressed into a crest, the kind of mark that could sit on a unit patch without looking out of place.
Monograms are what you use when the full name is already understood. This one assumes that kind of confidence, and earns it with clean stitching.
For people past the introduction
This cap doesn't explain the brand and doesn't try. It's the one regulars wear, the same way you'd wear a crest instead of a mission statement, and at nine colors it's one of the deepest lineups in our hats.
The embroidery sits raised off the twill, so the shield catches light at an angle. Good on its own, and better next to the flag caps it was designed to sit beside.
